Polyurethane (PU) Wood-like Products
Définition et principe
Polyurethane (PU) imitation wood is made primarily from polyurethane (PU) through specific formulations and processes to create a material similar to natural wood in appearance, texture, and density.
It is characterized by being lightweight, strong, easy to form, and highly designable. The formed products can further simulate the texture and color of wood through surface treatment processes such as spraying, embossing, and hot stamping, ultimately producing PU imitation wood foam products with similar appearance and performance to wood, serving as an excellent alternative material to natural wood.
Features
High Realism: By adding different color pastes and post-processing, it can imitate various wood textures, colors, and feels (such as oak and walnut), being highly close to natural wood in both visual and tactile senses.
Lightweight and High Strength: With a density typically between 150-600 kg/m³, it is much lighter than natural wood, making handling and installation easier. It has good strength and rigidity, can withstand pressure, and is not easily deformed or cracked.
Good Processing Performance: It can be molded into various complex shapes and exquisite carved patterns according to mold designs. High production efficiency makes it perfectly suited for large-scale industrial production.
Chemical Corrosion Resistance: It possesses resistance to chemicals like acids and bases, maintaining good performance in humid or specific chemical environments and reducing the risk of corrosion.
Thermal and Sound Insulation: The closed-cell structure provides excellent thermal and sound insulation properties. When used in architectural decoration, it enhances the thermal insulation effect and reduces noise interference.
Insect Resistance: Compared to natural woods, its synthetic structure is relatively stable and completely immune to insect damage or wood-boring pests.
Other Properties: High durability in various environments. Some products can also achieve specific flame retardant properties by adding flame retardants to meet safety standards.
